Food Donations

Monday – Sunday, 8:00AM – 4:00 PM, 19 Bliss Street, Springfield

  • All furniture and household items must be in excellent condition. Please contact the Mission before bringing your donation to ensure there is room.
  • Clothing items must be “like-new”, freshly laundered and pre-sorted according to men’s, women’s or children’s and sizes.  Please label your bagged or boxed clothing accordingly.  This will help expedite the storage of all clothing items as well as the selection process.
  • Do not donate torn, stained, ripped, faded, thread bare clothing. Our recipients are people living in crisis and/or looking to get back into the work force, etc. Therefore, please be selective when donating clothing items.
  • All donated undergarments and socks MUST be purchased new.
  • We do not accept computers/monitors, printers, fax machines, TV’s, cribs, mattresses, infant/toddler car seats or used toys/stuffed animals.

We are grateful for many of the clothing and household items that are donated to the Mission. However, we receive A LOT of broken and unusable household items; stained, ripped, worn out clothing, expired food items and open containers of food and toiletries. The poor and those living in crisis are in need of new or “like-new” items.  We want them to be lifted up by what they receive!

We are in the business of giving God's best!  Therefore, we will not give out anything that we ourselves wouldn't use or wear.  Unfortunately, we have had additional dumpster charges for these items and delivery charges for trucking unusable clothing to an industrial rag recycling facility. That is not money well spent.

Again, we thank you for the outpouring of generosity from our community. Because of you, we’ve been able to reach out to thousands of people in need with meals, food boxes, clothing and personal care items; but most importantly, prayer and hope in Christ!
